Reviews
Amazing place for a fine dining experience. We began the night greeted by an amazing and friendly hostess and Valet service. Our server Max was absolutely fantastic and knowledgeable! The food was delectable and next level!
The restaurant is beautiful and the service is great. However, the food fell short of expectations. My fish came undercooked and I ate about the half of it before realizing. This is partially my fault as I had noted that it was strange that a white fish wasn’t flaking easily, and I don’t have an issue eating raw fish— but had thought that was potentially a culinary choice by the chef. It wasn’t until I got to the middle that I realized it was not a culinary choice because it tasted awful. I then flagged the waiter and he confirmed it was undercooked. They took it back and cooked it more, and tasting it again had a drastic difference, as it tasted great. However, I was upset that the dish was not prepared properly from the getgo. My partner liked his steak and the mushroom tartine was good. We did not received a comp on the fish but we paid without a fuss. Due to the service and quality of the other food we would potentially give it another try, but unfortunately I was disappointed by Magdalena.
One of my favorite restaurants in Baltimore. The seasonal menu is always a treat. The atmosphere is fantastic for a relaxed calming evening. Always looking forward to going back!
Our server Andrew is amazing, courteous and professional! He was really helpful and insightful with guiding us through the menu! Props to him, I’d definitely give him more than just five stars.
The appetizers and entrees are all phenomenal with so much variety! I can’t recommend this place enough!
The entire experience invokes happiness and pleases all of my senses. The free valet parking, charming host, and ambiance throughout the venue are lovely. My favorite space is the courtyard, where the wall is adorned with ivy. The entire staff is knowledgeable about the menu and where every item is sourced. Thus far, my favorite meal is the catfish, but Chef Scott is always preparing something new with our tastebuds and ecosystem in mind.
This is one of the best restaurants that I've been to in baltimore.
This place is incredibly upscale. It's the type of place that has multiple $3000+ bottles of wine in their wine binder. They do the thing that fancy restaurants do of charging a lot of money and then giving you a little food (for certain dishes). This was the case for at least the venison. I didn't order that myself but the person I was with really loved it.
It is somewhat ridiculous but is an important reminder to us Americans who usually believe that more is better. It's a good reminder to savor your food and eat slowly.
It's in the basement / ground floor of the Ivy hotel. In terms of the atmosphere, it's furnished quite nicely. The only problem was that the bartender and servers were talking quite loudly at the bar and the place isn't so big.
The Oysters were very good, the Mushroom Tartine was to die for, the Venison Loin was spectacular and the Beef Loin was unbelievable. Great food and drinks in a private dining area in the city.
Came here for date night and was not disappointed. It was a wonderful experience. The food was phenomenal, our server was attentive and fun to talk to, and the atmosphere was intimate but comfortable. Will definitely be coming back again. If you're thinking about trying this place out don't think just do it.
